Dixie Ann “Dee” Dawson (1962 – 2025)

Dixie Ann “Dee” Dawson, 63, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Sammy Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Linden Church Hill Cemetery, Fiery Run Road, Linden, Virginia.

Dee was born on March 23, 1962, in Arlington, Virginia, to the late Horace and Margaret Gillespie Dawson.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Luther “Ben” Dawson, and nephew, Jay Dawson.  She graduated from Fairfax High School class of 1982.

Survivors include her sister, Gayle Dawson Garcia of Ruther Glen, Virginia; two nephews, Michael Dawson and Vince Dawson; and four nieces, Jenny Dawson Smith, Angelina Dawson, Gabby Smith, and Jordan “Petey” Dawson.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
