Edward Jones 5K Race for Education March 23rd: Annual Run Supports Cross Country Teams, Scholarships

Local high school athletes and students will once again benefit from the Edward Jones 5K Race for Education, which will be held Saturday, March 23rd at Warren County Middle School. This annual fundraiser, led by Edward Jones and Warren Coalition, supports the Warren County High School and Skyline High School cross country teams. It also provides scholarship funds the Warren Coalition awards to local high school students, to cover Advanced Placement testing fees and dual enrollment classes at Laurel Ridge Community College.

The course follows the length of Leach Run Parkway and back. Registration begins at 8:00 am; the race will begin at 9:00 am. Walkers are welcome to register and participate in the camaraderie and supporting these local causes. Baby strollers and dogs are also welcome.

Since its inception in 2007, the Edward Jones 5K Race for Education has raised over $61,000.

Learn more on the Facebook page, or PRE-REGISTER HERE for the race. Early registration is currently $25 per adult participant and $20 for students; the cost will increase to $30 for adults on March 1st and $25 for students on March 8th. Same-day registrations will be accepted.

About Warren Coalition
Warren Coalition is a nonprofit agency established in 1994 to help fill the gaps in health care and substance abuse awareness to the community. The Coalition began under the guidance of Warren Memorial Hospital as an outreach project, but it has since grown and was incorporated in 2001.  The office is currently located in the Warren County Community Center.  Their mission is to make Warren County a safe, healthy, and drug free community through many programs and in collaboration with 15+ member agencies.
