From Lanterns to Liberty

April 18 @ 2:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Looking for the perfect spring day? Step into 1775—right here in downtown Front Royal.

Join us for From Lanterns to Liberty, a free, family-friendly celebration kicking off Warren County’s America 250 events. This special event is held in partnership with the Town of Front Royal, Samuels Public Library, and numerous local organizations and businesses, and is sponsored by Experience Warren County.

Spend the afternoon enjoying small-town Americana at its best:

  • Unique vendors
  • Live blacksmithing & costumed interpreters
  • Hands-on activities for kids
  • Music, storytelling & student performances
  • Local food, shopping & walkable downtown charm

As evening falls, take part in the Paul Revere’s Midnight Glow Walk, carrying lanterns along Chester Street from the Warren Heritage Society to the Front Royal Gazebo.

The night concludes with a dramatic recreation of “One if by land, two if by sea,” followed by a musket display under the spring sky.

It’s immersive. It’s interactive. It’s uniquely Front Royal.
Make a day of it—and bring your friends.
