Friday Night Basketball Showdown: Warren County Lady Wildcats to Host James Wood Colonels – February 13

Warren County High School is gearing up for a high-energy basketball game as the Lady Wildcats host the James Wood Colonels on Friday, February 13. This much-anticipated doubleheader will take place inside the Warren County gymnasium, with the junior varsity game tipping off at 6:00 p.m., followed by the varsity matchup at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for pre-game coverage.

This cross-county clash brings together two competitive girls’ basketball programs, each looking to build momentum as the season heats up. With passionate fans and skilled athletes on both sides, the atmosphere is expected to be electric.

For those unable to attend in person, Warren County High School is ensuring the community can still catch every moment. Both games will be streamed live on the Royal Examiner website, courtesy of the school’s student-run broadcast team, Wildcats Live! Operated through Warren County DECA, the livestream will feature live commentary, in-game footage, and post-game highlights.

But Wildcats Live! is more than just a livestream—it’s a learning platform. The student-led production allows participants to gain real-world experience in media, marketing, and broadcasting, making it a shining example of how high school programs can foster professional skills and school spirit.

As tipoff approaches, the community is buzzing with excitement. Whether you’re cheering from the bleachers or tuning in from home, Friday night’s Wildcats vs. Colonels matchup promises fast-paced action and fierce competition.
