Published

on

A 20-year-old Front Royal man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a property and leading deputies on a short vehicle pursuit in the early hours of Sunday, January 19.

According to the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 1:50 a.m. to a report of a possible breaking and entering in the 19000 block of Fort Valley Road. By the time law enforcement arrived, the suspect had already left the scene, but a witness provided a description of the vehicle.

While patrolling the area, deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description and attempted to stop it. The driver reportedly refused to pull over, leading deputies on a brief pursuit before the vehicle was stopped and the driver detained.

PATRICK ANDERSON

The suspect was identified as Patrick Anderson, 20, of Front Royal. He was arrested at the scene and taken to RSW Regional Jail.

Anderson is charged with Unlawful Entry, Eluding Law Enforcement, Driving Under the Influence, Underage Possession of Alcohol, and Destruction of Property. Details regarding damage at the scene or specific property involved were not immediately released.

The investigation is ongoing, and no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. As of Monday, Anderson remained in custody pending a court appearance.
