Front Royal Police Identify Man Found Deceased on Crosby Road

The Front Royal Police Department has identified the man found deceased near the intersection of Crosby Road and 8th Street in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 29, 2025.

At approximately 5:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Crosby Road after receiving a report of an individual lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult male. Emergency responders confirmed that the man, identified as 48-year-old Nathan Wade Touhey of Front Royal, was deceased at the scene.

According to police, preliminary findings suggest that Mr. Touhey experienced a medical emergency. At this time, investigators say there is no indication of foul play, and the incident appears to be isolated. The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the official cause and manner of death.

Authorities noted that there is no threat to public safety, and the community is not believed to be in any danger as a result of this incident.

The Front Royal Police Department extended its condolences to Mr. Touhey’s family and friends and stated that no further details are available at this time. Updates will be provided as appropriate.
