Gail Poe Miller, 82, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at Winchester Medical Center on Friday, July 12, 2024.

A service will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St. Front Royal, Virginia, with pastor Sherman Kaipha Brown officiating. The family invites guests to visit with them one hour prior to the service. Following all services, the burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Gail was born to the late William and Ruby Poe on April 16, 1942, in Glen Echo, Warren County, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Miller; three sisters, Rebecca Poe, Jean Poe, and Patricia Poe Miller; two brothers, George W. Poe and Kenneth A. Poe; and one granddaughter, Valerie Gail Arthur.
She is survived by her two daughters, Molly Miller Lockhart (Wesley), and Meredith Miller Stimson (Richard Hodson), and one son, Paul C. Miller (Edgar McKee); sister, Alice Poe Grumbly; two brothers, Robert D. Poe and Edgar A. Poe; one granddaughter Caitlin Delaney Ford (Marcus); two grandsons, Dakota Thomas Lockhart, and Thomas Edward “Teddy” Arthur; and many great-grandchildren, Camberlee Michelle Lockhart, Desean Eason Ford, Brielle Rayne Ford, Elliana Charlotte Lockhart, Briar-Rose Rebecca Lockhart, Armani Thomas Arthur and Rowan Thomas Lockhart.
Gail was a passionate lifelong learner and nature lover who moved mountains to help family and anyone in need. An area native, she earned two associate’s degrees in natural sciences.
Marcus Ford, Luke Buracker, Matt Buracker, Dakota Lockhart, Teddy Arthur, Jacob Tomechko, Jeff Poe, and Eric Poe will be pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers are Edgar A. Poe, Robert D. Poe, Richard Hodson, Wesley Lockhart, and Edgar McKee.
