Georgana Athey “Georgie” Holland (1942 – 2025)

Georgana Athey “Georgie” Holland, 82, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at her cousin Vicki’s home.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Rockland Community Cemetery, Rockland Road, Front Royal.

Ms. Holland was born in Front Royal on October 31, 1942, to the late George Battle and Orville Ann Morrison Athey.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Wayne Athey and Lemuel Battle “Toddy” Williams, and a sister, Rosa Lee Williams.  She retired from Verizon Telephone Company after many years of service, was a steward at her local phone company union, and was formerly a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her cousin, Vicki Smith, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
