Ingrid Jolly (1944 – 2026)

Ingrid, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and counselor to many, has taken the final steps on her universal spiritual journey and transcended into the light.

Ingrid was born in the Eifel region of Germany, and following a post-war childhood, she embarked on a life of adventure and discovery. As a young woman, she made her way to England, and while working in London, she met her first husband and became a mother.

Equipped with a bold and curious spirit, Ingrid explored the world, including a car trip from Germany to Nepal. There she met her second husband, his children, and the Nepali daughter they would adopt. After Nepal, Ingrid and her blended family lived in Morocco, where she worked for the British Council.

Upon moving to the United States, Ingrid worked at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., for 15 years. Additional travels included trips to Bolivia and South Dakota. During this time, she also met her third husband.

After retiring from the embassy, Ingrid moved near Front Royal, Va., where she loved being in the mountains. There, she devoted her life to spiritual understanding and teachings, and running her nonprofit organization, Avillion of Universal Insight. She became an ordained minister and an accomplished lecturer and aura photographer, traveling to many holistic health and wellness expos on the East Coast.

Ingrid was a spiritual intuitive for most of her life. Raised Catholic, she studied Tibetan Buddhism and helped establish the first Tibetan Meditation Center in Washington, DC, with a resident lama. She was also a student of universal shamanism and Native American spirituality, guided by elders. Her comprehensive spiritual background ultimately led her to Cosmic Spirituality during a vision quest.

A devoted animal lover, Ingrid cared for cats and dogs, both domestic and feral, as well as horses, deer, hummingbirds, raccoons, opossums, and donkeys. An advocate of human rights, she supported indigenous cultures, including Native Americans and Tibetans.

Ingrid is survived by her husband, Dr. Miles McCord, Jr.; son James Jolly (Pippa); and daughter Maya Craig (David). She is also survived by her stepchildren, Steven Trayfors (Greta), Nick Trayfors (Corinna), and Tina Trayfors (Derek), and her grandchildren, Malaya Craig, Sebastian Jolly, and Oscar Jolly. Ingrid is predeceased by her former husbands, Geoffrey Jolly and William Trayfors.

May her journey into the light continue in peace, love, and wonder.
