Isaak Walton League of America Scholarship Fundraiser: Basket Bingo

Published

on

WHAT MATTERS Warren – The Izaak Walton League of America (IWLA) Warren County Chapter is hosting a BASKET BINGO on October 5th at the Front Royal Elks Lodge (located at 4088 Guard Hill Rd). Tickets are only $25 ($30 at the door) and provide a chance to play all 28 games.

Prize baskets include Longaberger, Henn and Peterboro – each filled with amazing gifts. Every basket has a theme (ranging from kitchen to fall items, coffee lover collections to wine gift baskets, Christmas themed baskets to game night assortments). Each prize is valued at $200-$500 and over $10,000 in baskets and gifts will be given away! All proceeds go toward the IWLA scholarship fund.

The IWLA Warren County Chapter is committed to many areas of supporting our community, and they are especially honored to give two $1,000 scholarships each year to graduates of Warren County schools. If you can’t attend Saturday’s event, you still have the opportunity to support the fund and win fantastic prizes. If you buy a ticket and can’t play bingo, someone can play your games for you, and if your card wins, your basket of goodies will be delivered to you! Tickets make great gifts and attending will make for a memory and prize-filled day; It’s a WIN/WIN combination to support a fabulous cause and walk away with valuable prizes! A meal is also available for $8 (including drink, dessert and delicious pulled pork). Reserved seating is offered for groups of six or more, so contact Mary Stover (304-871-1112) or Barbara Bell (540-635-7367) today for tickets and information!

ABOUT THE WARREN COUNTY VIRGINIA IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE*

For 90 years, the WARREN COUNTY CHAPTER has worked to protect our natural resources in Virginia’s Northern Shenandoah Valley.

Warren County is our primary membership area, but we maintain a waiting list of applicants from adjoining counties

Our MISSION is “…to strive for the purity of water, the clarity of air, and the wise stewardship of land and its resources; to know the beauty and understanding of nature and the value of wildlife, woodlands and open space; to the preservation of the heritage and to man’s sharing in it.”

We do this in a fun, family-friendly environment from our beautiful 120 year-old, 155-acre farm park, nestled in an arm of the Blue Ridge near Browntown.
