JoAnna Postlethwait Named Warren County Public Schools Substitute of the Year
Warren County Public Schools has named JoAnna Postlethwait its 2025-2026 Substitute of the Year, recognizing her service to students and staff across the district.

“Mrs. P,” has been named Warren County Public Schools’ 2025-2026 Substitute of the Year.
Known affectionately by many students as “Mrs. P,” Postlethwait has worked in multiple schools throughout the year, serving classrooms from elementary through high school. Wherever she was assigned, she built strong relationships with students and staff, earning respect for her dependability, flexibility, and calm confidence.
Substitute teachers play an important role in keeping schools running smoothly. They step into classrooms with little notice, adapt quickly to different grade levels and subjects, and help make sure learning continues when regular teachers are away. The best substitutes do more than cover a class. They help students feel supported, keep routines on track, and bring stability to the school day.
Postlethwait has done that consistently, according to the district announcement. Her willingness to take on new classrooms and challenges made her a trusted presence throughout the school system.
Her nickname, “Mrs. P,” reflects more than familiarity. It reflects the trust and admiration she earned from students who came to know her as a steady and caring adult in their schools.
In naming Postlethwait Substitute of the Year, Warren County Public Schools praised her commitment to student success, her support of staff, and her dedication to representing the profession with excellence.
The district encourages the community to join in congratulating JoAnna Postlethwait and thanking her for her exceptional service to Warren County schools.
