Mamie Elizabeth “Liz” Hawkins (1941 – 2026)

Mamie Elizabeth “Liz” Hawkins, 85, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026. She was born on April 22, 1941, to the late Cumbow and Laura Mae Hawkins.

Liz was known for her warm heart, sense of humor, and genuine kindness. She had a gift for making friends wherever she went, and her laughter could brighten any room. She loved to sing and treasured every opportunity to gather with her family. Whether sharing stories, music, or simply enjoying time together, she made those around her feel loved and welcome. Her greatest joy was her family, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Farnsworth and Amanda Kinnick; her grandchildren, Bo White, Nathan Kinnick, Sarah Melton, Emma Farnsworth, and Ally Farnsworth; her brother, William K. Hawkins; her sisters, Helen Dick and Mildred Kirby; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Richard Hawkins; her daughter, Angela Beth White; her grandson, Ryan Kinnick; her brothers, Gaines Hawkins, Ralph Hawkins, Marvin Hawkins, Paul Hawkins, and Thomas Hawkins; and her sisters, Retha Boyd and Gladys Shaffer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Liz’s life, share their memories, and honor the love she gave so freely.
