Edward James “Jimmy” Crouch Jr. (1950 – 2026)

Edward James “Jimmy” Crouch Jr., 76, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on June 22, 2026, with his family by his side.

A funeral service will take place at 2 PM on July 2, 2026, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main St, Front Royal, with Pastor Hollis Hillman officiating. A visitation will take place from 1-2 PM before the service. Following the service, his burial will take place at Bennetts Chapel Cemetery.

Jimmy was born on May 24, 1950, in Washington, D.C., to the late Edward James Crouch Sr. and Bernice Vesta Lazenby Crouch. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Maria Theresa Moore Crouch; his sisters, Carol Carpenter and Shirley Crouch; and his son-in-law, Kenny Bentley.

Surviving Jimmy are his children, Sandra Bentley, Edward “Eddie” Crouch III, Kathy Crouch, Matthew Crouch, Joshua Crouch, and Phillip Crouch; his brother, Ronnie Crouch; his grandchildren, Jimmy Bentley, Brandon Bentley, David Bentley, Jacob Bentley, Hannah Bentley, Joe Crouch, Josh Wallis, Jenny Crouch, Colten McCarthy, Jeremy Crouch, and Noah Crouch; and his great- grandchildren, Liam Bentley, Kaylahni Wells, Aubree Norris, Davina Norris, Kyle Beeson, Rayleigh Bentley, Raelynn Ireson, Mihaela Wallis, and Memphis Wallis.

Jimmy was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church for many years and became a chaplain in assistance to the church. Jimmy would minister to many folks in local nursing homes and even continued helping people on his own after parting from the church. Jimmy loved to sing for the Lord and often played his guitar in accompaniment, and later played the piano and keyboard.

Pallbearers will be Joe Crouch, Joshua Crouch, Jimmy Bentley, Brandon Bentley, David Bentley, and Jacob Bentley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Baptist Church at 1200 N Shenandoah Ave, Front Royal, VA 22630.
