Oris “Pie Jr.” Alvin Barner, 63, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

A funeral service will be held for Oris at 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 W Main Street, Front Royal, with Reverend Alfred Woods officiating. Guests are welcome to arrive up to 1 hour before the service.
Oris was born on December 12, 1962, in Alberta, Virginia, to the late Lewis Alvin Barner and Dora Lee Baskerville. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lena Rhodes.
Surviving Oris is his loving wife of 18 years, Monica Lynn Barner; his children, Oris Barner Jr., James Eury Jr. (Megan), Jasmine Eury (Arkeem), Jordan Eury (Michelle), and Jamal Eury (Ashley); his siblings, Doris, Janice, Terry, Patsy, and James; his numerous grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special nephew, William Rhodes (Jennifer).
Oris loved watching all kinds of sports: football, basketball, NASCAR racing, and many more, but he thoroughly enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles play.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family care of Maddox Funeral Home.
