Patriots reaffirm their commitment to our Constitution and Country
This year the Shenandoah Christian Alliance sponsored a program of thanksgiving for the Constitution of the United States on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Co-chairing the event was General George Washington, himself, portrayed by Dale Carpenter from Front Royal. This event celebrated arguably the greatest governing document ever written and those early patriots that sacrificed their fortunes (and, in many cases lives) to insure that their families and future generations would be able to share the bounty of this nation and pursue their God given rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.
Forty American Revolution War veterans buried in Mt. Hebron Cemetery were honored for their sacrifice in securing our Independent and Freedom. A Nation governed by a Constitution is what they fought and died to establish.
