Paul Jonah “P.J.” Washington (1954 – 2025)
Paul Jonah “P.J.” Washington, 71, of Front Royal, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Born on February 2, 1954, in Front Royal, P.J. was a lifelong member of the community. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosetta Foster Bailey, his stepfather Walter Bailey, and his wife, Debra Rush Washington.
P.J. retired from UPS after a long and dedicated career. He was also a faithful member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and was well known among friends and neighbors for his love of fishing. Many days, he could be found enjoying the quiet calm of the Front Royal boat landing, sharing stories and laughter with his close friends.
He is survived by his beloved son, Paul Mykal Washington, and his God Sister, Eleanor Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Maddox Funeral Home to assist with funeral arrangements.
P.J. will be remembered for his warm spirit, his strong faith, and his deep connection to the Front Royal community.
