Marjorie Jayne Solack (1936 – 2025)
Marjorie Jayne Solack, 89, of Lovettsville, Virginia, passed away on July 14, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie Jayne Solack
Marjorie was born June 23, 1936, in Meadville, PA., the daughter of the late George and Dorothy Anderson. She attended Warren County High School in Front Royal, Virginia. She went on to study and graduated from Longwood University.
After graduating with a degree in Chemistry, she worked as a laboratory technician at George Washington University. This is where she met and married her beloved husband of fifty years, Dr. George A. Solack, Sr. They went on to have three children: George, Lara, and John.
Marjorie was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. When asked what her greatest accomplishments were, she said, “My husband and children”.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, brother Charles H. Anderson, and her husband George A. Solack, Sr.
Her children survive her: George Solack and his wife, Julie, Lara Lasher and her husband, Tim, and her son, John Solack. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sara Lasher, Nathan Lasher, Andrew Solack, Carolyn Solack, her great-granddaughter, Sofia Warner, and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Anderson.
A private graveside service will be held for the family on July 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Panorama Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4917 Strasburg Road, Strasburg, Virginia, with Pastor Barnabus Schwanke officiating.
