Pretty SCARY, pretty cute at Front Royal’s Downtown Halloween

A Wizard of Oz theme – from left, Orbit is the Cowardly Lion; Molly is the Tin Man; and Toby is Toto – accompanied in the back row by a Straw-man, a Good Witch, and of course Dorothy. While the group looked like a winner, Orbit alone took a solo first for his Cowardly Lion. Photos/Roger Bianchini

Uh oh, that’s a little scarier …

Princesses and a unicorn over to the left …

What to eat next? A T-Rex torn between candy and frozen treats. But the law seems to be coming down for FROZEN treats – probably appropriate for something that went extinct in the last ice age.

Did you see that?!? …

… Bandit the dragon dog sniffing a taco dog … HEY,

… You don’t think she’s got more candy than me, do you?

Captain Hook, Tinker Bell and Peter Pan may be headed for the judges’ parade …

On parade for the judges …

Judges discussion …

Anticipation was high …

Winners included, from left, Dahmir Berryman (1-1/2), Izabella Clatterbuck (at 2, a crazy cat lady), and Ethan Funk (3).

More winners, from left, Gavin Flynn (9) as Jack in the Box, Isabell Vaught (8) as a Mouse in a Trap, and Gracie Tennant (12) as a 1920’s Flapper.

I didn’t win?!? – I am going to EAT somebody …

… Go for it, lizard boy – Bandit the 2nd place finishing dragon dog may have been thinking.
