Publix Super Markets, a beloved grocery chain known for its customer-first philosophy and quality products, is expanding to Winchester, Virginia. The company has officially signed a lease for a new location at Winwood Village, situated at the southeastern corner of Weems Lane and Valley Avenue.

The planned 50,325-square-foot store is set to create approximately 150 new jobs in the area, boosting the local economy. While an official opening date has not yet been announced, excitement is building among residents eager to experience what Publix offers.

Publix’s media relations manager, Jared Glover, was enthusiastic about the new venture. “We are excited to continue our growth across Virginia with this new location in Winchester,” Glover said. “We look forward to our new customers experiencing the Publix difference soon.”

The new store is part of Publix’s strategic expansion throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Known for its high-quality products, bakery and deli options, and excellent customer service, the chain has a loyal following that will likely grow with this newest addition.

The Winchester location will bring a full-service supermarket experience to the community, a hallmark of Publix stores nationwide. Residents can look forward to fresh produce, a wide array of prepared foods, and the company’s signature sub sandwiches.

As construction and hiring plans unfold, locals can expect more updates about the store’s grand opening. For now, the announcement signals a significant step in Publix’s commitment to becoming a part of the Winchester community.
