R-MA cadets march to the beat of success at Apple Blossom 2023
The Randolph Macon Academy (R-MA) cadets showcased remarkable talent and spirit at the Apple Blossom 2023. The students from Front Royal, Virginia, presented a commendable performance, contributing to both the Firefighters’ Parade on Friday, May 5th, and the Grand Feature Parade the following day.
The students participated in various capacities, including a precision-driven color guard, enthusiastic band members, a flag corps, escorts, and an Apple Blossom Princess, Katie Reagan ’24. Their coordinated efforts and performance added to the spectacle and energy of the parades.

A notable achievement was earned by drum major Sarina Winters ’23, who demonstrated exceptional skill and was awarded the “Outstanding Drum Major” title. The band, not to be outdone, was recognized as the “Outstanding Military School Band,” attesting to their talent and dedication.

This story extends beyond the confines of a parade. It highlights the spirit of young individuals standing tall, representing their community, and supporting each other. The students of R-MA are not only learning and growing but making a tangible difference in Front Royal.
These students embody the spirit of community, inspiring all of us to strive for more, contribute more, and invest more in our community. They are a testament to the power of community engagement and support.
The R-MA cadets have shown us that the future is bright, and we eagerly anticipate their future achievements. For now, let’s celebrate their current success and their remarkable contribution to the Apple Blossom 2023.
