Rachel Lourener “Lou” Williams (1944 – 2025)
Rachel Lourener “Lou” Williams, 81, of Chester Gap, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 27, 2025, in the comfort of her home.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, with Pastor James Boyette officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery in Chester Gap.
Lou was born August 22, 1944, in Chester Gap, Virginia, the daughter of the late Elias and Mamie Catherine Henry Wines.
She was a member of Living Water Christian Church in Front Royal and was well known for her version of “This Old House”. Her loving family and friends will greatly miss her.
Surviving are two sons, Big Mikey Williams and wife Theresa of Chester Gap, and Tony Williams of Chester Gap; one brother, Ray Wines of Orange, Virginia; two sisters, Virgie Ubben of Chester Gap and May Oliver of West Virginia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Bobby Lee Williams, and a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Williams.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Williams, Chris Engle, Tim Shenks, Levi Campbell, Sean Jones, and Cole Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3,1 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
