Riverton Church Serves Up More Than Pancakes at Community Breakfast

Published

on

On September 20th from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., the Riverton Church Fellowship Hall at 55 E. Strasburg Road in Front Royal will be flipping pancakes—but the menu goes far beyond food. The monthly breakfast is designed to nourish both body and spirit, welcoming all members of the community to gather around the table.

Guests can expect stacks of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits, and sausage gravy,  served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The church operates on a simple principle: “pay what you can.” No one is turned away, making the event accessible to everyone regardless of budget.

For Riverton Church, these breakfasts are about much more than a hot meal. “We want people to feel like they belong, to have a space where they feel comfortable talking with neighbors and sharing a part of their morning,” explained one volunteer. Conversations often flow as freely as the coffee, giving attendees the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones.

The initiative highlights the church’s commitment to serving as more than just a place of worship. Leaders and volunteers see Riverton Church as a community hub, offering support, fellowship, and comfort to residents whether they attend Sunday services or stop by for breakfast.

With each plate served, the church is building connections—reminding Front Royal that sometimes the simplest gatherings create the strongest bonds.
