Sergeant Robert Owen “Bull Dog” Bragg, 37, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Rockland Community Church, 2921 Rockland Road, Front Royal, with the Rev. William “Bill” Orndorff officiating.  Burial will follow at Rockland Community Cemetery.

Robert was born in Maryland on October 9, 1986, to Charles Jr. and June Rutherford Bragg.  He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Charles “Pop” Bragg Sr. and James “Pop Pop Tom” Rutherford, and his grandmother, Mary Carter.  He was currently actively serving in the Virginia Army National Guard.  He was a member of Rockland Community Church and the American Legion, Giles B. Cook Post 53.

Surviving along with his parents are his grandmother, Georgia Bragg; his fiancée, Beth Kitchen; son, Jake Owen Bragg; brother, Kenneth Bragg; two sisters, Laura Bragg, and Brandy Bragg; and two brothers of the heart, Jason Long and Denver Claywell.

Kenneth Bragg, Denver Claywell, Jason Long, Robert Scholtz, Chris Bush, and Scott Dingwall will be pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
