Shirley Henry (1957 – 2026)

Shirley Henry, 69, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11 AM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Pastor Anna Havron officiating.  Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Henry was born on May 16, 1957, in Manassas, Virginia, to the late Robert Wright and the late Elsie Pearson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Henry Sr.; sister, Mary Sisk, and two brothers, Roger Wright and William Wright.  She was a joyful person, and everywhere she went, you would find her talking to someone she had never met before.  She worked most of her life as a produce manager at Food Lion.  She also adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Edwin Henry Jr. (Megan); two grandchildren, Edwin Henry III and Eden Henry; two brothers, Robert Wright and Richard Wright; three sisters, Barbara Schaefer, Janice Wright, and Ellen Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Roger Wright, Ryan Wright, Allen Madigan, Tim Figgins, Matt Schaefer
