Elizabeth Anne Calendine (1935 – 2026)

Elizabeth Anne Calendine, 91, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Heritage Hall of Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 2 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, with the Rev. Taeshin Kim officiating.  Burial will follow at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery, Front Royal.

Mrs. Calendine was born on February 18, 1935, in Pollock, Louisiana, to the late Charles and Laura Martin Barrett.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Andrew Calendine, and two brothers.  She was a retired librarian.

Survivors include her son, Stanley Andrew Calendine Jr.; two daughters, Sandra Elizabeth Apger and Ruth Anne Calendine; two brothers, one sister; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Audubon Society at www.audubon.org.
