Terry Wayne Foster (1962 – 2026)

Published

on

Terry was born in Front Royal, Virginia, on March 22, 1962, to Paul J. Foster and Juanita Frazier, and was also lovingly helped in his upbringing by his stepmother, Helen Foster. He grew up in the Chester Gap and Front Royal areas, where he spent the majority of his life before relocating with his family to Myrtle Beach in 2007.

Affectionately nicknamed “T-Bird,” Terry was famously known as the life of the party with a contagious laugh. He possessed a vibrant spirit, was deeply loved by many, and was blessed with the absolute best friends anyone could ever ask for. A lifelong painter by trade, Terry’s career allowed him to travel and experience most of the United States. Terry also loved his 2 dogs and 3 granddogs, who brought immense joy to his life.

Terry and his beloved wife, Sharon, shared a beautiful journey together, beginning in 1987 and later tying the knot in Myrtle Beach in July 1992.

He is survived by his devoted spouse, Sharon Foster; his daughter, Carey Bunting (Travis); and his son, Jeremy “JJ” Fulk. He is the cherished grandfather of Karissa Strosnider, Jacob Bunting, and Airyan Bunting, and the proud great-grandfather of Waylon and Wells Boyd. Terry also leaves behind his brothers, John Foster (Karen) and Glenn Mahoney (Hope); and his sisters, Joyce Allen, Teresa Judd, Debbie Brogan, and Juanita Shafer.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Foster Jr., Randolph Mahoney, Ray Foster, and Richie Mahoney, as well as his sisters, Patricia Miner and Darlene Strong.

Terry touched countless lives and will be missed by so many people. A celebration of life will be held in Front Royal, Virginia, at the Moose Lodge on September 12th, 2026, at 1 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Terry’s GoFundMe campaign at gofund.me/1121960ce.

“A limb has fallen from the family tree that says, Grieve not for me… remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.”
