Turnmeyer Galleries adds some color to South Street in Front Royal

FRONT ROYAL, VA – New local fine art gallery and gift boutique in Front Royal has moved to add some color to the neighborhood along South Street in Front Royal, Virginia.

Scott and Pam Turnmeyer, owners of Turnmeyer Galleries and Scott Turnmeyer Photography, recently took over the space of their new Fine Art Gallery and Gift Boutique at 300 South Street in Front Royal, Virginia.

After starting to get the space ready for their Grand Opening, they worked with one of their consigners, Jacqui Ris of Front Royal, to create a Shenandoah National Park and River themed mural on the side of their building.

Over the course of a week, they obtained approvals from the Town of Front Royal, as well as the building owner, and worked back and forth with Jacqui to finalize the design, who began work early Saturday morning. She finished the 17×14 sized mural, one of her largest, late Sunday afternoon.

On the mural, you will find the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Shenandoah River, flowers, a train, a bald eagle, a beautiful sunset that gradients up to a night sky full of stars, galaxies and nebula. You will also find two hikers and kayakers and the famous Skyline Drive in the colorful artwork.

The Turnmeyers wanted to go with this theme as Scott is a professional photographer that runs photography tours and workshops in the Shenandoah National Park. They are both avid hikers and kayakers, and are regularly doing one or the other to find new locations for Scott’s fine art landscape photographs.

The mural has been a welcome addition to the South Street area, as the Turnmeyers have had numerous honks, visitors and delighted comments on the social medial posts about it. The Town has been gracious enough to invite the Turnmeyers to include their mural in the “Appalachian Trail Mural Program.” A program with over 100 murals included.

You can visit Scott and Pam Turnmeyer in their new location on 300 South Street in Front Royal, Virginia. Their Grand Opening is on October 5, 2019, with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10am. There will be light refreshments throughout the day. For more information, including the full list of workshops and classes, visit www.turnmeyergalleries.com, email info@turnmeyer.com, or call/text them at 540-692-9550.
