Valley Health and VDH Encourage Residents to Take Health Needs Survey
Community Input Will Help Shape Future Health Initiatives
Valley Health and the Virginia Department of Health’s (VDH) Lord Fairfax Health District are urging community members to participate in an ongoing health needs survey before it closes at the end of February. The Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), conducted every three years, helps identify the most important health concerns in local communities and ensures that health resources are focused where they are needed most.
All area residents are encouraged to take part in the survey. This is a chance for people to share their opinions and suggest improvements for health services in their neighborhoods. The feedback collected will guide local hospitals in creating strategies to improve healthcare access, strengthen community health programs, and address the needs of vulnerable populations.
“Valley Health is committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” said Jason Craig, EdD, BCBA, Director of Community Health at Valley Health. “Our Community Health Needs Assessments and the resulting implementation strategies are critical tools in our efforts to address health disparities and ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.”
Once the survey results are in, each hospital in the Valley Health System will develop a detailed plan to meet the community’s most urgent health needs. These plans will focus on expanding care access, improving health outcomes, and supporting wellness initiatives for residents.
Community involvement is key to the success of the CHNA process. Every voice matters and helps shape the future of health services in the region.
