VIEWPOINT: Vote for Kamala Harris at Your Own Peril

A Democrat recently wrote a commentary in another local newspaper entitled “Republican’s missed opportunity in voting Trump over (Nikki) Haley.” He spread the usual false, non-evidential allegations and generalities about Trump without mentioning Biden/Harris’s harmful lies like they wouldn’t leave Americans behind in Afghanistan; they didn’t know about the Biden crime family’s accepting foreign money to influence U.S. policy and COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. This Democrat also faulted Trump for charges fabricated by Biden’s DOJ lawfare prosecutions to destroy Trump by any means, including possibly by an unsatisfactorily explained assassination attempt.

The gist of his commentary imagined a Haley candidacy whereby both she and Harris would be women candidates “of color, born of recent immigrant parents.” So what? Irrational identity politics contradicts the meritocracy required for presidents to govern effectively. (Remember: Harris was Biden’s identity politics pick for Vice-President.) Do uprightness, intelligence, knowledge, leadership, confidence, credibility, and other required presidential attributes derive from one’s sex, skin pigment, or parental immigration status? Absolutely not. Good governance requires rational thinking in order to enhance citizens’ liberty, security, and opportunity, not Democrat governance devoted to global agendas, i.e., migration as a United Nations human right, false climate change solutions, and surrendering health sovereignty to the World Health Organization (WHO).

To vote as a rational thinker requires knowledge of the issues confronting America and each candidate’s policies to solve them. Are candidate political positions the same now as in previous years? If not, why not? Voting must be rational, not an emotional decision, because presidential decisions affect Americans’ safety, security, and well-being, for better or worse.

Presidents direct domestic and foreign/national security policies, but foreign policy must dominate because only the Executive Branch is responsible for protecting Americans from foreign adversaries. Effective presidents stand toe-to-toe with America’s enemy leaders, as Trump did with Russia’s Putin, China’s Xi, and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un without our worrying about World War III. Biden doesn’t negotiate with our adversaries. Neither will Harris.

Would Harris stand toe-to-toe with foreign leaders? Her character prevents me from thinking so. She’s fearful of scheduling an open, non-recorded news conference, even with friendly media anchors. Harris is incapable of providing the presidential leadership necessary to solve America’s increasing problems. Her extreme left-wing Marxist agenda isn’t capable of analyzing problems, let alone solving them. Harris is a lightweight. As president, Harris would be Commander-in-Chief. God help us!

Harris’ national security responsibility was border security as Biden’s Border Czar. For years, the Biden/Harris administration lied, declaring, “The border is secure,” but we know better. Then, Democrat elites (Obama, Pelosi, Schumer) executed their coup against Biden and undemocratically “anointed” Harris as the Democrat candidate without her ever receiving a single primary vote. The media began lying that Harris wasn’t the Border Czar. She was. The results? Following Obama’s playbook to transform America, illegal border crossings have surpassed at least 12.5 million. If the total by January 2025 becomes 15 million illegals, America will have conservatively added 3.6% to our population, thereby increasing drug deaths, crime, murders, disease, human trafficking, and taxpayer entitlement payments. Harris won’t secure our borders, so her administration or administrations would, within a few years, ensure an American population that includes at least 10% unassimilated illegals.

Under Trump, America will again have secure borders and will flourish as our Founders intended. Under Harris, all bets are off. Harris is devoid of all necessary presidential attributes except ambition. Vote for Harris at your own peril.
