Virginia State Police Ongoing Crime Suppression Operations, Recovering Firearms, Narcotics, and Investigating Human Trafficking

From January 7, 2026, – January 14, 2026, the Virginia State Police, in partnership with supporting federal and local agencies, achieved significant criminal interdictions. Their ongoing efforts led to the recovery of firearms, the seizure of narcotics, the seizure of U.S. currency, and the investigation of multiple crimes throughout the Commonwealth.

Operation Highlights 

Firearms Recovery:

  • A total of 62 firearms were recovered, valued at $51,000.

Narcotics Seizures:

  • Total seized narcotics amounted to 2,055.6 pounds.
  • Denied revenue from seized narcotics: $10,688,935.
  • Breakdown of narcotics recovered:
  • Crack Cocaine: 2 ounces
  • Marijuana: 2,019.2 pounds
  • Methamphetamine: 2.6 pounds
  • Psilocybin: 7 pounds
  • Ketamine: 26.5 pounds
  • Fentanyl: 1.3 ounces
  • THC Vapes: 600
  • THC Consumables: 7.3 pounds
  • U.S Currency: $36,150.

Gaming Enforcement:

  • Five (5) gaming-related tips received (2,053 total to date).

Human Trafficking Investigations:

  • Eight (8) new human trafficking tips received (1,461 total to date).
  • Cases investigated or currently under investigation: 214
  • Individual investigative activities: 3,786
  • Victims identified and offered services: 77

From January 14, 2026, to January 20, 2026, the Virginia State Police, in partnership with supporting federal and local agencies, achieved significant criminal interdictions. Their ongoing efforts led to the recovery of firearms, the seizure of narcotics, the seizure of U.S. currency, and the investigation of multiple crimes throughout the Commonwealth.

Operation Highlights 

Firearms Recovery:

  • A total of 12 firearms were recovered, valued at $6,500, and 12 controlled substance pills.

Narcotics Seizures:

  • Total seized narcotics amounted to 46.3 pounds.
  • Denied revenue from seized narcotics: $327,263.
  • Breakdown of narcotics recovered:
  • Cocaine: 2.1 pounds
  • Crack Cocaine: 0.5 ounces
  • Marijuana: 43.2 pounds
  • Fentanyl: 14.6 ounces
  • Fentanyl Pills: 12
  • U.S Currency: $69,271.

Gaming Enforcement:

  • Four (4) gaming-related tips received (2,057 total to date).

Human Trafficking Investigations:

  • Thirteen (13) new human trafficking tips received (1,474 total to date).
  • Cases investigated or currently under investigation: 213
  • Individual investigative activities: 3,819
  • Victims identified and offered services: 79
