Warren County GOP endorses three Front Royal Council candidates

The Warren County Republican Committee held a forum Thursday evening for the six Republican candidates vying for a seat on the Front Royal Town Council.

Moderated by Warren County Clerk of Court Daryl L. Funk, the event gave local members a chance to hear from each candidate before selecting three whom they would endorse on the Republican ticket.

Candidates include incumbent councilmen Gary Gillispie and Christopher Morrison, as well as newcomers Alford “A.D.” Carter III, Chris Holloway, Robert Tennett Jr. and Letasha Thompson. Citing the Hatch Act, due to his employment with the federal government, Morrison declined to participate in the forum but was in attendance in the audience.

Following the forum, the committee selected Carter, Gillispie, and Holloway as the candidates whom the GOP would endorse.
