Women in the United States Navy during World War I: Defending a Constitution that did not defend them
Local historian Abby Griffeth will be teaching about the first women to serve on active duty in the United States Navy, and how this moment in history came before the modern feminist movement in America. These US Navy women served their country during wartime, and did not look upon themselves as special or as pioneers. Come learn about this unique event in US military history!
