Wilma J. Martin (1927 – 2026)
Wilma June Martin, 98, of Friendship, WI, formerly of Front Royal, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Mrs. Martin was born on November 8, 1927, in Douglas, OK, the daughter of the late Ross William McLaren and Myrtle Agnes Frank Thompson. Wilma married the love of her life, Robert Earl “Bob” Martin, Sr., on October 29, 1945. Wilma enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and hosting holiday parties at their homes in Front Royal, VA, and at their lake house on Lake Bryant in Ocklawaha, FL, where the neighborhood would gather regularly for fish fries. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on the Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers, and also liked watching the NBA and college basketball.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two daughters Pamela Ann Lynn of Front Royal, VA and Karen Carpenter (Bruce) of Nekoosa, WI; five grandchildren Kenneth Wayne Martin, Jr. of Meridian, ID, Thomas Christopher “Chris” Lynn (Carrie Anne) of Stephens City, VA, Donald “Donnie” Martin (Roxanne) of Cypress, TX, Amy Rebecca Lynn McCabe (Sean) of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Robert Keith Martin of Boise, ID; eleven great-grandchildren Jennifer Jewel Martin, Jacey Lauren Martin, Kenley Ryanne Martin, Tex Remington Martin, Rogen Wayne Martin, Ryker Skeet Martin, Marguerite Elizabeth “Maggie” Lynn, Emma Ruth Lynn (Whitley), Austin Martin ( Hana), Tyler Martin, Kaegan Riley McCabe and Rylie Martin; and two great-great-granddaughters Emmy Martin and Sofia Lynn Alfaro. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Wayne Martin, Sr., and Robert Earl “Robby” Martin, Jr., and siblings Don McLaren and Virginia Choate.
