Winchester Police release burglary surveillance video, turn to public for help

Winchester — Winchester Police are investigating a burglary that occurred early Sunday morning (Dec. 18) at a Berryville Avenue business.

Winchester Police Department Crime Prevention Specialist Jennifer Hall said sometime between Midnight and 3:00 a.m., a man forced his way inside used car dealership Dealz on Wheelz, located at 1202 Berryville Avenue. The suspect stole a safe from the business containing an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as some personal papers, vehicle Dealer tags and miscellaneous items belonging to the owner.

Surveillance video captured the suspect wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with an Under Armour emblem, blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes.  The suspect is a white male; he had a bandana partially covering his face.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or a vehicle that may have been involved in the incident is asked to contact the Winchester Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at (540) 545-4704, or Crime Solvers at (540) 665‑TIPS (8477).

Information leading to the arrest of a suspect may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
