Lucy Mae Catlett (1932 – 2024)

Lucy Mae Catlett, 91, of Strasburg, Virginia, passed away at Warren Memorial Hospital on Friday, February 23, 2024.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1, at 1:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mrs. Catlett was born October 25, 1932, in Rappahannock, Virginia, the daughter of the late Ellis and Nellie Atkins Dodson.

Surviving is a dear friend, Nancy Newlin, whom she thought of as a daughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Ranson Catlett; three sisters, Ruth Dodson, Jeanette Jenkins, and Bessie Wilkinson; and two brothers, George Dodson and Clifton Dodson.

Pallbearers will be Doug Sims, Harry Newlin, George Dodson, Cliff Dodson, Michael Henry, and Rick Vogt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 1, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m..
