Four Arrested After String of Vandalism Incidents Across Multiple Jurisdictions

Four young adults have been arrested following a multi-jurisdictional investigation into a series of vandalism incidents that targeted businesses, homes, and vehicles in Front Royal and surrounding areas.

According to an updated release from the Front Royal Police Department, officers responded on January 31, 2026, around 9:30 p.m. to a report of vandalism at Vibrissa Beer, located at 122 E. Main Street. Police say a projectile was fired through a window while the business was occupied, escalating the incident beyond simple property damage.

As part of the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed a suspect vehicle driving past the business at the time of the incident. The vehicle description was entered into an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) database, which led investigators to a black 2016 Ford pickup truck registered to Brayden Eckert of Frederick County.

Further investigation revealed that the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office was already working on a similar case. Deputies made contact with Eckert at his residence, where evidence suggesting involvement was found inside his vehicle. Eckert also provided information confirming his role in the incidents, according to police.

In total, Front Royal Police have documented six vandalism reports connected to the investigation, involving two businesses, two residences, and two vehicles. As the case developed, three additional suspects were identified and charged.

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the incidents:

Brayden Eckert, 20, of Frederick County
Nevin Jenkins, 20, of Front Royal
Mason Lewis, 20, of Front Royal
Madison Vickers, 19, of Stephens City

All four were charged under the same Virginia state statutes, including three counts each of throwing a missile against an occupied dwelling, four counts each of destruction of property valued at less than $1,000, and two counts each of destruction of property valued at more than $1,000.

The Front Royal Police Department credited cooperation between agencies as a key factor in the arrests, thanking the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in bringing the investigation to a close.

Police have not released additional details regarding court dates or potential motives, and the investigation is considered ongoing.
