Damon Spencer Padgett (1978 – 2026)
Damon Spencer Padgett, 47, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at his home.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 3 to 5 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, Virginia. Please bring stories to share for remembrances at 4 PM.
Damon was born on October 28, 1978, in Front Royal. He was an avid marksman, outdoorsman, and weapon collector with a true love of nature. He was a craftsman who enjoyed landscaping and creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Some of the best words to describe him include stubborn, strong, goofy, smart, funny, and charismatic. Damon would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. He had a big, helpful heart and deeply cared for his family, friends, and community.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Kathryn and Greg Rice; Father, John Padgett (Tricia); son, Tyler Padgett (Mairel); two daughters, Nyla Pearson (Dakota) and Sophia Padgett; brother, Jason Padgett; three sisters, Kathryn Padgett, Joyce Goodman (Brian) and Nina “Lynn” Goss (Will); two grandchildren, Kai Pearson and Aleia Pearson and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Knox Pearson.
