David Michael Smith (1960 – 2026)
David Michael Smith, 65, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, in the comfort of his home.
David’s remains will be privately laid to rest in his favorite place at a later date.
David was born in Cooperstown, New York, on October 1, 1960, to the late Richard Carter and Marguerite Ann Omerzu Smith. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jean McLean.
David is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Vicki Wise-Smith; his son, Justin Randall Smith (Jessica) of Oneida, New York; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
David was a veteran of the United States Navy and obtained the rank of Petty Officer. He served during the Grenada Invasion. David was a member of the Church at Skyline in Front Royal; he loved playing and watching sports, and he thoroughly enjoyed hunting.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warren County Humane Society at 1245 Progress Dr, Front Royal, VA 22630, or to the Church at Skyline, 7655 Stonewall Jackson Hwy, Front Royal, VA 22630.
