The United Way of Front Royal-Warren County has donated $12,400 to St. Luke Community Clinic for the 2019-20 fiscal year. The United Way has partnered with St. Luke for several years, and is very happy to do so again this year!

St. Luke Community Clinic performs valuable services for the people of Front Royal-Warren County. For the first quarter of this year, the clinic had 611 total patient visits, including 353 unduplicated patients. Currently, the clinic is working to improve its ability to serve patients with dental needs. In the first quarter alone, the clinic recorded 48 dental visits, and provided dentures to two patients.

As part of the push to expand dental services, the clinic would like to add two new dental chairs to its offices. The chairs cost approximately $2,000 per chair, not including installation costs.

Of the 353 patients seen by the clinic in the first quarter, 186 were at 100% of the poverty level or below. The clinic maintains that many more people in the community should make use of its services. A couple living in Warren County making $49,000 or below qualifies for services from the clinic. However, others also qualify, and are encouraged to use the clinic. For individuals earning above the requirements, there is a very small fee for the clinic visit.

Since 1950, the United Way has worked to advance the common good in Front Royal-Warren County. The community wins when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, and when people are healthy. The United Way’s goal is to create long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of the challenges we face. Living United means being part of the change!
