on

The American Legion Community Band gets the audience on their feet as they conclude the Fall Concert with the Stars and Stripes Forever written by John Philip Sousa.

The American Legion Community Band of Front Royal presented its annual Fall Benefit Concert on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 7:30 pm in Boggs Chapel on the R-MA campus in Front Royal. Their next concert will be the annual Christmas Concert on December 17, 2019 again at Boggs Chapel at 7:30 pm.

The band is sponsored by the Giles B. Cook Post #53 of the American Legion. The band will present all donations from the concert to the National Emergency Fund, which helps distressed veterans in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

The American Legion Community Band, located in Front Royal, was formed in 1986 and has been playing concerts in the area ever since. The conductors and band members are all volunteer musicians from the local area and new members are always welcome.

The American Legion Community Band performs at a variety of concerts and community festivals throughout the year. All performances are free and open to the public. Their repertoire is both versatile and traditional with works ranging from classical to popular, marches and operatic overtures to modern works for band.

Enjoy the concert.
