Cheryl Ann Gomilla Kreitzer Kennedy

Cher is joined in heaven by the love of her life, William (Grizz) Kennedy, her mom, and her three brothers. She leaves her father, John Gomilla (Hammond, LA) and her two sisters, Susan Snider (Nashville, TN) and Gina Shea (Akron, OH).

Cher had two boys, eight grandchildren & three great-grandchildren:

  • Bernard Justin Kreitzer (Annie); Savanna (Ben) Murphy with Hanna; Bernard William, Joshua & Michael Kreitzer.

  • Darren Dayton Kreitzer; Jacob, Jazmyn, Bayleigh & Jordon with Klyde & Kora.

She had a passion for crafting and participated in many local shows. She was known for her very clever baskets and ornaments. Cher had such a giving and caring heart! She was an amazing cook and loved her dogs!

When Cher retired after a long career with VDOT, she was one of the few female engineers in Virginia, leading multimillion-dollar projects. So, whenever you’re driving the roads and the bridges in Virginia, you can think of Cher!
