Grandmaster Kwon Offers Free Martial Arts Training to Those Who Serve
After years of training students and shaping lives at his martial arts school in Front Royal, Grandmaster Kwon is entering a new chapter—one dedicated to giving back to those who serve and protect our community.
As he prepares to close his Front Royal school, Grandmaster Kwon is not stepping away from teaching. Instead, he is offering free martial arts training twice a month to a select group of community heroes and their families. These sessions are designed to honor service, build strength, and foster self-discipline in a supportive, skill-focused environment.
Beginning Tuesday, April 8, 2025, free training will take place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Front Royal Volunteer Fire Department, located at 221 N. Commerce Avenue, second floor.
The program is open to:
-
Military personnel and their families
-
Police and sheriff’s department staff and their families
-
Firefighters and fire crew members and their families
-
Current students of Grandmaster Kwon
The sessions will include self-defense techniques, physical conditioning, and lessons in focus, respect, and discipline—all hallmarks of Grandmaster Kwon’s teaching style. Known throughout the region for his commitment to both martial arts and personal growth, Kwon says this new chapter reflects his passion for sharing knowledge with those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
“This is my way of saying thank you,” Kwon shared. “Martial arts has given me so much in life. Now, I want to give something back to those who give so much to our community.”
Whether you’re a current student or someone who serves in uniform, Grandmaster Kwon invites you to step onto the mat, grow stronger, and continue the journey together.
