Guy L. McKahan (1940 – 2026)

Guy L. McKahan, 86, of Front Royal, Virginia, and formerly of Wardensville, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Heritage Hall of Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.

Guy was born April 10, 1940, in Greene County, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles Guy and Mary Ionna Cunningham McKahan.

He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Guy retired after many dedicated years with United Airlines. Guy was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was married to the late Ruth Ann “Ruthie” McKahan.

Surviving are two daughters, Paula Miley and husband Brandon J. Miley of Wardensville, West Virginia and Pamela Knight of Elyria, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jason McKahan, Joshua McKahan, Jessica Funk and husband Chris, Krystal Carter-Jackson, Kasey Carter and Cody Knight; and nine great-grandchildren, Arianna McKahan, Kirstin McKahan, Kaidence McKahan, Brynlee Funk, Braxton Funk, Lorenzo Caruso, Aria Caruso, Romeo Caruso and Noah Knight.

Pallbearers will be Jason McKahan, Joshua McKahan, Cody Knight, Chris Funk, Chip Hodges, and Matthew Clark.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home.
