James Edward “Jimmy” Henry, 64, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at his home in Front Royal.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home with Sammy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens in Waterlick.

Jimmy was born on March 18, 1961, in Warrenton, Virginia, the son of the late Carl Garfield Henry Sr. and Cora Virginia Cook Henry.

He owned and operated his own painting business for many years.

Surviving is his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Lisa Henry; two sons, Justin Henry and wife Adrienne of Leesburg and Josh Henry and wife Cynthia of California; three daughters, Macey Henry and her significant other Justin Hayes of Front Royal, Chelsey Henry and husband Brian Skojec of Winchester and Kristen Pyne and husband Timmy of Front Royal; four sisters, Mary Knight of Strasburg, Libby Funk of Front Royal, Jeanette Stacey of Strasburg and Ruthie Glover of Winchester; seven grandchildren, Alison, Cayden, Adeline, Julian, Raelyn, Rowan and Hudson; and many other extended family members and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jack Henry, Carl G. “Bug” Henry Jr., and Tommy Henry.

Pallbearers will be Justin Henry, Tony Airhart, T.J. Airhart, Gene Airhart, Michael Henry, and Chris Funk.

Honorary pallbearers will be Justin Hayes, Jason Derflinger, Jackie Henry, Tommy Knight, and Gary Knight.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to invite all who are attending the funeral for a time of food and fellowship at the Front Royal Moose Lodge following the graveside service.
