James H. “Jim” Teabo, 92, died peacefully at Commonwealth Assisted Living on November 14, 2025. He was a Christmas baby, born in Hinton, WV, on December 25, 1932, to George Teabo and Nettie Fay Gill Teabo.

Jim worked as an electrician at Chandler Electric for many years. He later went to work for Judd’s Inc. (Valley Press) as a technician. He loved to solve problems and fix things and was an early version of “MacGyver”. He was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Indianapolis Colts, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to NASCAR races with his buddies. He loved animals, and in addition to many dogs, cats, and birds over the years, he fed and made friends with all the squirrels in the neighborhood, giving each one a name. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, and the harmonica.

Jim was a US Marine and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a life member of the Giles B Cook American Legion and a member of the Front Royal VFW.

His children survive Jim, Paula Brady (Scott), Donna Teabo Zuckerman (Marty), and James A. “Tony” Teabo, Grandson Nicholas Teabo, and Granddaughter Haleigh Brady Mills.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Teabo; his son, Gregory A. Teabo; and his parents and siblings.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children’s National Hospital at: https://childrensnational.org/giving/.
