James “Jimmy” W. Davis, age 60, of Front Royal, Virginia, went to heaven on October 28, 2025, at Warren Memorial Hospital. Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Front Royal and was married to the love of his life, Pam, for 39 years.

James “Jimmy” W. Davis

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Davis, and his brother, Michael C. Davis. He is survived by his loving mother, Emma J. Davis; his wife, Pam Davis; his sons, Jesse Davis and Justin Davis (Courtney); six grandchildren; his brother, Larry Davis (Michelle); and his sisters, Rhonda Loveless (Jimbo) and Kristal Cochran (Michael).

Jimmy graduated from Warren County High School in 1983 and spent many years working in construction, where he took pride in every project he worked on. He enjoyed the satisfaction of building something with his hands and always approached each job with care, skill, and a bit of fun mixed in. In the later years of his life, he joined his son Justin at his auto repair shop, where he loved being part of the daily routine. Whether greeting customers, keeping an eye on the shop floor, or making a quick remark that had everyone laughing or shaking their heads, Jimmy had a way of lightening the mood. He didn’t need to tell long stories — just a few words from him could make the day brighter, and his one-of-a-kind personality always showed through.

Jimmy was quick with a comeback, honest to the core, and never afraid to speak his mind. Some called him blunt, but those who knew him best called him truthful, clever, and uniquely himself. Even during his hospital stay, he found ways to make others smile — rolling his eyes, tossing out a sharp comment, or giving you that look that said, “Really? You’re still talking?” He had a rare way of making people laugh even when times were tough, and that’s how most will remember him.

He loved working with his hands, especially assembling model kits, which he approached with the same focus and patience he brought to everything else. Jimmy cherished his family above all else, taking pride in watching his children grow and his grandchildren thrive. He had many friends who will forever remember his quick wit, his honesty, and the way he made everyday moments unforgettable.

Above all, he shared a deep and unwavering love with his wife, Pam, who was his devoted partner and caregiver, and with whom he shared 39 years of laughter, love, and countless memories.

A special service commemorating Jimmy’s life will be held at LifePoint Church, 1111 N. Shenandoah Avenue, Front Royal, VA, officiated by Pastor John Kenney, on Wednesday, November 5, at 2:00 p.m.

“He left us laughing, loving, and with memories that will never fade.”
