William Douglas “Bill” North Jr. (1957 – 2025)

William Douglas “Bill” North Jr., 67, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at his home.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Willis Chapel Cemetery with Sammy Campbell officiating.

Bill was born on November 29, 1957, in Front Royal, Virginia, the son of the late William Douglas North Sr. and Leta Jean Lilly North.

He retired from Warren County Public Schools after a long and dedicated career of service.

His family and many friends will greatly miss him.

Surviving are a brother, Allen Smoot, and wife Wendy of Front Royal; two sisters, Wanda North and Betty North, both of Front Royal; niece, Chelsea Mikels and husband Jonathan; and nephews, William Smoot and wife Kyra, and Doug North.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandmother, Mamie North; and maternal grandparents, Maude and Oliver Oscar Lilly.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy North, Allen Smoot, William Smoot, Doug North, Mike Gue, and Clint Carlson.
