Sandra Butler Vogt (1944 – 2025)

Sandra Butler Vogt, 81, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at her son’s home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 120 West Main Street, Front Royal, with Father Michael R. Duesterhaus officiating.  Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal.

Mrs. Vogt was born on September 4, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Benjamin and Stachi Balon Butler.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Richard Vogt; two sisters, Barbara Kilpatrick and Doris Carr; and two brothers, Donnie Butler and Benjamin Butler. Three days after Sandra’s passing, her sister, Carol May, died. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Rick Vogt (Wendy), Lea Ann Poe (Mike) and Greg Vogt (Roxanne); three step daughters, Pat Iman, Brenda Braford and Debbie Dove; two sisters, Virginia Gustavson and Susan Ballard; 13 grandchildren, Jeremy, Danielle, Ben, Sarah, Tyler, Kevin, Gabe, Natalie, Jonathon, Josh, Jerry, Amanda and Melissa; 19 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal, and there will be a Rosary Prayer before the visitation starting at 5:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
