Terry Lynn Nuckols

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Born on June 8, 1961, in Fairfax, Virginia, Terry was the son of the late Milton Lonnie Nuckols and Betty Virginia Kershner Nuckols.

Terry worked as a commercial construction superintendent and took great pride in the projects he helped bring to life throughout his career. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed.

Outside of work, Terry found his greatest happiness in the outdoors. He had a deep love for hunting and treasured the time spent in the woods, creating memories with family and friends. He also had a passion for automobiles and enjoyed working on and restoring cars, taking pride in bringing them back to life through his skill, patience, and dedication. Whether he was under the hood of a car, in the woods hunting, or surrounded by family, Terry was doing what he loved most.

More than anything, Terry loved being a grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and lessons that would remain with them forever.

Terry is survived by his four daughters, Stephanie Nuckols (Kevin) of Strasburg, Samantha Nuckols of Front Royal, Michelle Madden of Front Royal, and Haley Hoyt of Florida; his sister, Mamie Lentz of Berryville; his brothers, Billy Clyde Nuckols of Culpeper, Richard Nuckols of Amherst, Virginia, and Jimmy Kershner of Concord, Virginia; and his 10 beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Terry will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for hunting, his talent for restoring cars, and the countless memories he created with those who knew and loved him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Terry’s story is best remembered not only for the facts of his life but also for the people, places, and simple moments that brought him joy and reflected the person he truly was.
