Three Structures Damaged in Sunday Afternoon Fire on Osage Street
The Warren County Fire & Rescue Facebook page reported this on a three structure fire on what Royal Examiner was told by neighbors were adjacent vacant buildings that appeared earmarked for redevelopment:
“At 1:38 PM, WCFR was dispatched to Osage Street in Front Royal for reported smoke coming from a vacant dwelling. Firefighters arrived to find fire coming through the roof of the dwelling and spreading to the adjacent buildings. All three buildings were searched and crews confirmed there were no occupants present. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire and prevent further spread.
“Personnel operated on scene for approximately three and a half hours. No injuries were reported. An investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Warren County Fire Marshal’s Office. Anyone with information regarding the fire is encouraged to contact the Warren County Fire Marshal’s Office at (540)636-3830.
“Thank you to the Front Royal Police Department for assisting with traffic and crowd control.
